How the budget plan works
We estimate your yearly fuel cost from your home’s use in a normal heating season and divide it into equal monthly payments. Choose one of three plans:
- 10-month budget: August through May.
- 12-month budget: August through July.
- Your own monthly amount: tell us what you want to pay each month.
Enrollment is open in August and September each year. Outside those months, call us with any questions.
Price protection
Price protection is offered to heating oil customers and to propane customers on the propane heat rate, during the same August and September enrollment period. Hot water and cooking are not eligible. You can buy it with or without the budget plan. It sets a cap on the price per gallon you pay from September through April. If the market price stays below the cap, you pay the lower price. For heating oil, it costs $100 for the season. For the propane heat rate, ask us for the price. On the budget plan, it is added to your monthly payments. We will confirm the current terms with you.
Terms
- Your account balance must be current.
- Services and Toco purchases must not be past due.
- Budget payments are due between the 1st and 15th of each month during the budget period.
Taylor Oil Co., Inc. is not responsible for price increases caused by acts of God, lockouts, strikes, natural disasters, accidents, war, embargoes, transportation, government authorities, oil supplies due to allocations, or other causes beyond our control. Taylor Oil Co., Inc. is not liable for indirect or consequential damages arising from this agreement.
